Die Aurora Borealis wird seit Jahrtausenden von den Menschen verehrt und gefürchtet. Die Cree und die Eskimos sowie andere indigene Völker glaubten, dass diese mysteriöse Himmelserscheinung dazu diente, die Toten herbeizurufen und mit ihren Ahnen zu kommunizieren. Auch in der finnischen Kalevala-Mythologie werden die Nordlichter - auf Finnisch Revontulet - als Tor zwischen den Lebenden und den Toten bezeichnet.
Die Maserung der gemaserten arktischen Birke wirkt oft so, als ob sie von innen heraus beleuchtet wird und sich mit dem Licht verschiebt und schimmert. Dies inspirierte uns zu unserem Nordlicht-Finish - um ein Stück der flüchtigen Schönheit des arktischen finnischen Himmels in die Fasern Ihrer Gitarre einzufangen.
Wir stellen diese VSOP Deluxe für das Tonefest Helsinki 2024 her, die am 18. Mai im Musiikkitalo stattfindet.
