SD Curlee / SD Curlee / 1978 / Natural / Guitar
Description
NOT exactly sure of the year.. but is certainly late 70s
A very rare find. A 1970s SD Curlee electric 6 string in original condition and finish. SD Curlee was an American guitar maker that was established in 1976 and made a small name for themselves making great quality 4 string basses. They did make a small number of guitars during their short lived career. By 1981 production had ceased. The instruments were known for being extremely well made and have now developed a cult like status. Super rare due to limited numbers. This example is a great twin humbucker guitar with a really quality feel to it. Very playable. It looks (from the sticker on the back) to have been supplied by Carlsbro Sound Centre music shop, so a UK import possibly? Or maybe they sold it as a used instrument. A very rare and collectible guitar from the late 70s.
