The Santa Cruz D Model is built for Dreadnought players looking for a powerful and loud, but also refined guitar. And this custom D model is an absolutely gorgeous guitar, with amazingly grained Jacaranda or if you like- Amazon Rosewood, the species name is Dalbergia Spruceana and it's the closest to Brazilian rosewood you can get. Actually the only difference is the amount of a certain acid and contains of water, one of them will float on the water, the other one will sink. The wood contains a beautiful structure and colours from red to almost black and violet to purple, dark brown to Light brown. This combination not only looks amazing, it also sounds incredible! The bass response is strong and crisp, very powerful, and in capable hands it is a mighty bluegrass- machine but also an elegant fingerstyle guitar, or if you are mainly a strummer like me- it's one hell of a strummer guitars to.

Tone and appearance of this guitar are really outrageous.  Also in the nice small details it's just a bit different, like the stylish ivoroid bound body, ebony fingerboard and ebony peghead, the open back quality Waverly tuners, the minimalistic 2 mm dot inlays, the beautiful colorful back-centre strip and the ivoroid endpin wedge and heel cap. Other features include: mahogany neck, bone nut and compensated bone saddle,  rounded C profile neck, 43mm (1 11/16”) nut width, 645mm (25.4") scale length, 55mm (2 1/8") Fingerspacing.
