This Guitar without any doubt Unique and wonderful, A Santa Cruz 12 string style F- with 42 style inlays that is made with the finest of finest woods. A unique and one of a kind Santa Cruz Guitar, made by the thought full hands of master luthier Richard Hoover himself. A thing of beauty is a joy forever, that's just what these unique guitars are.. i never ever seen the likes of it. This beautiful guitar features Selected Mastergrade Brazilian Rosewood back and sides combined with AAAAA Engelman Spruce from Richard Hoover's Private stock of very old matured tonewood. Engelman adds a bit of clarity and is one of the finest woods for use on 12 strings.
The guitar shows some unique features like Mid sized (F) jumbo body, Honduras Mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard and Bridge, A Custom designed Rose-branch-Tree of Life -inlay in a unique but also modest combination of Pearl and Abalone. The ebony fingerboard is bound in Ivoroid. The body is bound in dark rosewood with style 41 style Abalone purfling and soundhole inlay. The Heelcap is made of matching brazilian rosewood. The headstock veneer is made of Ebony with Santa Cruz logo in Pearl. The guitar is equipped with very precise Gold Shaller tuners with matching Ebony buttons. The guitar features a standard 48.00mm ( 1 7/8") widht at the nut and 650mm (25.5") scale. The tone is superb in every way, impressive and balanced from the low bass to the highest E and G strings. This is museum quality 12 string that you will most likely never find the likes of, in excellent condition, with some weaterchecking to the finish, superficial play-wear, and simply enchanting tone. Comes with its original Santa Cruz Case with Blue lining. A Richard Hoover provenance will be included in the sale stating the wood is harvested in the 1930s/1940s pre-cites era.
