Luthier Richard Hoover began building guitars in 1972. Richard Hoover is by now considered a master luthier in all aspects of the trade and highly respected in the steelstring world for his craftsmanship and knowledge of handmade acoustic guitars. Santa Cruz Guitars are played by some of the world's finest guitar-players like for instant Tony Rice, Dan Tyminski, Elvis Costello, Arlen Roth, Gillian Welch, David Crosby, Joan Baez & Janis Ian to only name but a few, of course our national pride(s) 'Ilse de Lange' and 'Stevie Ann' are on that list also.  

This is older and very nicely matured Santa Cruz F model, that i find one of the most graceful guitardesigns available from Santa Cruz or any other company, A most impressive Guitar if you are looking for jut a bit more punch then you would find in a regular OM model, but also the impressive mini-jumbo looks, stylish appointments, graceful and beautiful detailing like the Ebony a-symmetrical faceplate, bound fingerboard and marquetry back centre inlays make this guitar a beauty to look at. But more important, tone-wise it just has that what many players cannot find in the OM model, it adds a tiny bit more power and punch, The F model is an extremely versatile instrument with even balance and excellent projection, equally suitable for picking, fingerstyle and strumming, bright, and deep, but not boomy, One of the features of Santa Cruz Guitars that instantly becomes apparent is their weight. Santa Cruz guitars are built from a pre-war low weight perspective, so they respond very well tonally and grow substantially over the years. A most beautiful Guitar were every player will find his way on. Guitar is in excellent condition with some superficial playwear and a small repaired seam seperation. Excellent playability and comfortable action but most of all, impressive tone. Comes in original Santa Cruz Case. The 'F' list new at €4950,00, and this one is price at a modest 2750 euro.
