One of my favourite finishes is Midnight Blue.
This Sherwood Classic weighs in at 6lbs. It is a Paulownia wood with maple/maple neck.
I think this is such a sweet guitar. We installed a Joe Glaser 'B' Bender system and added a Hipshop Drop 'D' tuner making this a very versatile country player.
We asked Smitty at MJS Custom pickups to wind a classic bridge pickup for that twang and a midrange mini humbucker in the neck for blues and jazzy tones.
They hit the mark and then some.
We use Graphtech Guitar Labs Ratio Tuners and Tusq-XL nuts. The bridge is a solid unit from Gotoh with steel saddles.
With a 10" fingerboard radius and medium frets, she is a dream to play.
