With it's twin soapbar EMG's and Tone Pump preamp, this emerald beast is nothing but a pure funk machine. The low B is tight and focused, while the upper range is clear and shimmering (sounds like I'm describing a doggone mermaid or something). Really though, this bass is a professional- grade instrument that can perform night after night, whether you're playing in a local club or holding down the bottom end for Beyonce (pun intended). These Czech- made Spectors are so close to those great original basses, that you really won't be able to tell the difference and you can get into one for about 1/4 the price of a Kramer NS-5. As rare as those basses are, these Czech 5's are easily found, so all you need to do is choose your color and this Emerald trans- green will certainly set you apart from the usual sunburst crowd.
