One can Research about this wonderful small factory production , by the late Great Sam Koontz, made under the Standel name.
They are great designs, and exceptionally rare instruments.
many would sayt comparable quality to the 1960*s gibson L5's.
designed to be a highest level instrument by a truly great Luthier.
This 910S is Part of the “ Deluxe Artist “ category of that series.
The 910S the top of the line Spruce top model with set pickups.
(There was also produced a 17” spruce top model with floating pickup ( the 920S),
And also a 17” fully laminate model 811 . )
All great instruments in design tone and feel.
Basic Specs:
17” body , Carved Spruce top, Florentine Cutaway, 3 1/4 Body depth
Ebony Fingerboard, Vintage Grover Imperial tuners, and 2 great Dearmond Pickups.
Gibson Short scale 24.6 =625 mm . ( often referd to as 24 3/4 )
Guitar is set up now for 1 pickup use. ( neck)
not uncommon for jazz players to do, eleiminate extra pots, switch in the top.
Bridge pickup is not attached electrically. it is in fully functioning condition, only needs be re attached for 2 pickups )
The original pots and switch is included in sale.
(Also, the option thatI can have it all reinstalled to 2 pickups is no poroblem if one wishes)
as for price..
5250€ is the lowest price one may find for this instrument.
value as both a musical instrument and collectors piece is for sure as good as it comes.
There has been higher prices for this instrument in US
where still here in Eu import fees would increase that considerably
- Case is a Road Runner case, that’s seems to have been custom fit.

( the gibosn 17 " florentine L5's were made only with 25 1/2 scale)
