Soloist guitar made of Riopalisander (certified).
The wood for the body is almost a hundred years old, it was bought at auction in 1924 by an instrument maker at the port of Hamburg. This guitar was built in 1997 and has now returned to us in good used condition. The top has a few tiny traces of use, the body is still in top condition. Of course, it has been cleaned, refretted, restrung and the string action optimized.
In the product class “State-of-the-Art” we emphasise on balance and individual fine-tuning of the top. In addition to the elaborate mounting of the top by means of little single woodblocks the thickness of each of these woodblocks is adapted to the needs of the respective top. The arrangement of the bracing and the customising of the braces is also done individually.
We chose Engelmann spruce for this top in order to cover a broad frequency spectrum from deep bass to soft, singing trebles.
The freewheel precision tuners, developed by guitar maker Knut Welsch, are also worth mentioning. Unfortunately they are not available anymore, as Knut passed away in 2011 at the age of just 49.
Brazilian Rosewood is no longer allowed to be traded today and has therefore become a rarity. Here you have an opportunity to acquire an exceptional instrument. (CITES incl.)

Before processing these valuable tonewoods we keep them in our workshop for years to dry slowly, as it is best for their determination.
