Stoll Guitars / Concert Ukulele Filomena / 2023 / Stringed Instrument For Sale
Professional Ukulele for Professional Players
Thanks to 38 mm nut width and extended fingerboard, Filomena offers a high level of playing comfort. With its quick response and wide frequency range, it can be used equally well in an orchestra, a band or even as a soloist's instrument.
This concert ukulele is made of Walnut, with a Spruce top and Spanish Cedar neck. Unobtrusive Rosewood inlays and a Maple rosette complete the look of Filomena. Thereby, sustainability is an important concern for us. All Rosewood components were made from off-cuts. A large part of the wood used comes from local sources or from sustainable cultivation.
Worth CT Carbon strings are the ultimate for ukuleles . They enhance the tone and at the same time bring a touch of Hawaii into the sound. Schaller machines guarantee easy and secure tuning.
Thanks to a scale length of 380 mm, Filomena fits perfectly in the hand. Conventional ukuleles are usually built somewhat narrower than Filomena, which, with a nut width of 38 mm, allows for pleasant playing comfort. The extended fingerboard also makes the upper registers playable with ease. This opens up completely new possibilities for ambitious ukulele artists.
The range of uses is very broad due to the fast response and dynamic sound development. Traditional areas are supported as well as modern playing styles, such as fingerstyle or tapping.
Optimised body shape and internal construction transform the rather short, percussive original sound into a powerful, balanced euphony. The sound gains contour and substance and extends over a very broad frequency spectrum, making Filomena well suited for solo use.
In combination with Spruce, Walnut adds a warm, earthy tone to the basic tonal character of Filomena.
