Takamine / LTD 2002 Whales / 2001 / Natural / Guitar
Two things immediately struck me when I opened the case on this Tak; The first was the quality of it's construction. I'm not kidding when I say that this is a very well- built guitar. Everything about it is a cut above par and it's obvious to me that those guys at Takamine were not fooling around when they built this series. The second was the tone. It is bright and articulate; The high notes do not get drowned out by the lower strings and chords rings sweetly and evenly when the instrument is strummed. And, the danged thing is loud! Those are all pluses in our book when it comes to the world of acoustics. This piece is in NOS condition and hails from a rather large private collection. When plugged in, the guitar comes alive and a very cool tuner is mounted into the upper bout. Now I see why just about every major Country artist plays a Takamine live (except for Taylor Swift, who plays a Taylor. Go figure...). We love these Taks and the upper end models rival newer Taylors with ease. So, if you're in the mood for something a bit different and especially if you like whales, check out this outstanding acoustic and give us a shout. Now you'll be able to save the whales and play them at the same time...
