Ted Megan Athena Natural Archtop, featuring Carved spruce top, carved amazing AAAA flamed maple back, solid flame maple sides, 5 piece flame maple neck, bound ebony fingerboard, Mother of pearl nut, 24k gold plated parts, bound ebony headstock, ebony artistic tailpiece and bridge, J Smith pickup. Ted Megan lives up to the promise of his name, absolute top quality material and workmanship, exceptional Sound and playability. The guitar is in near mint condition, very clean and played with gloves on. The sound of this archtop is amazing, and reminds of big names Ted Megas is associated with, like D'Aquisto and D'Angelico. Other features on this classic Archtop include multi-lined bindings, Split block mother-of-pearl inlays on the bound ebony fingerboard, Hand engraved mother-of-pearl and abalone inlay on the peghead, Abalone dot side position markers, X-bracing, Hand carved AAAA highly quilt-flame maple back with matching sides, front & back of the peghead are Ebony overlayed, the neck combines in the classic graphite reinforcement to an adjustable truss rod, taking care of the immense sustain and resonance, The brass gold plated tailpiece adds to this quality and is detailed with ebony inlay , High-gloss nitro-cellolose natural lacquer, Gold Schaller tuning machines with ebony buttons. This package comes in a 5-ply Cedar Creek quality hardshell case.
