The Chicago Music Co. / The Leland / 1925 / Natural Spruce/ Brazilian Rosewood / Guitar For Sale
Vintage 1920's Parlor Guitar!
If your looking for an old school acoustic sound this is the guitar for you! I found this beauty at a local music store in my area earlier this year. It had been stored for quite a while before it was tuned and set up again for resale. It plays very nicely and doesn't buzz on any of the frets. The Brazilian Rosewood back and sides make it loud for it's size. When I play this guitar I enjoy thinking about what life was like when it was made. You can tell that it was carefully engineered and made with mostly hand tools by the craftsmanship of the joints. I tried to find more information on the maker of the guitar and all I was left to assume is that it was made in a workshop in Chicago and is a very close replication to a common design for the era. The original design may have been developed by Washburn and outsourced to Chicago Music Company to increase regional production. What I do know is that it's a very rare piece of American history that has remained in great condition throughout the years.

It would cost a fortune to make a guitar like this these days! This guitar is light, classy and easy to play. It would be a great selection for someone who would like to play original blues or folk with some original equipment. Please let me know if you have any questions and feel free to leave me an offer!
