The Tune Bass Company started in the early to mid-80’s in Japan. I became a Tune Bass Dealer in the early 90’s & bought my 1st WB5-BM (Birdseye Maple) at the NAMM Show for my personal consumption. Hence I always regretted selling it. Here we have a really clean original example of a WB5-FM Fretless Bass. She has a smooth fretless neck w/cheat lines and semi hollow structured body with impressively designed sound hole. Its electronics are killer & the designed GP-5 piezo pickups are mounted to produce real “wood bass” sound. Bottom control JCP-5 brought unique pre-treble and pre-bass controls on top of inner built individual gain control. This is a pure original example prior to Tune going belly up. By the 2000’s Tune basses were made in Korea. This WB is all original & quite a user friendly bass at that. It’s near mint & comes w/a nice hard case.
