Tyler / James USA Studio Elite HD Candy Lemon Yellow Shmear Rosewood / Guitar

James Tyler started out doing custom guitar work and repairs in the early 1970’s. His reputation grew by word of mouth up through the later 1980s and early 1990s when a lot of top session players and artists in the Los Angeles studio scene trusted him to give them exactly what they needed. He listened to his customers and pushed the limits by constantly seeking what could be improved. This kind of hand-on experience with thousands of guitars and an exclusive clientele has given James keen insight into how things work, and what players want. James Tyler creates guitars that have unrivaled build quality and amazing playability, which is the reason why Tyler was the go to builder for artists like, Steve Lukather, Mike Landau and David Williams (Michael Jackson).  This USA Studio Elite HD is no exception and features a beautiful Candy Lemon Yellow Shmear, which might even outperforms most Gretsch guitars in de Shiny guitar competition. The pearloid pickguard is Tyler's own design and actually looks pretty good. The body wood is made of Mamywo, which is Tyler's abbreviation for Malaysian Mystery Wood and is also known as Jelutong. This type of wood is similar to basswood in that it's light and sounds great. The maple neck has an Indian rosewood fretboard and features the iconic Tyler headstock. This James Tyler is in near mint condition and has just a bit of playwear on the pickguard. The frets are perfect and this guitar is just barely used and plays wonderful. The overall sound has more mids than the usual Strat because of the body wood. This gives interesting warmer S-style sounds on the neck and middle pickups that won't sound plinky and thin. The humbucker fares really well with the Mamywo body and has enough midrange to give convincing rock and hard rock tones which makes this guitar very versatile. The midboost gives another level of tone shaping and is highly useful to shape your lead tone. ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
