Vox / AC-2 / 1960 / Blonde / Amp

Here's a very rare, vintage VOX amp that nearly got away from us... Circa 1960/1 original JMI VOX AC-2, the forerunner of the AC-4. It is in excellent condition for it's age, nearly all original and what a cute puppy it is too.
All the important bits are totally original including the woodwork, fawn covering, grille cloth, handle, speaker, transformers, most of the wiring and even some of the tubes.
What we know has been replaced are a couple of resistors, some of the tubes and the AC cord but the original is included which has totally perished and is shorting out.
It has just been gone through by our independent tech and is working great and actually sounds pretty nice too. He reported to us the trem is a bit weak and there is a cable for a footswitch inside the amp which is not connected. He tested the footswitch function and that is all OK. Afraid we do not have the original footswitch for it.
Very difficult to price this as there are so few around and hence sold so we have put a price of £2k5 to start and may listen to near offers.
A great little amp for recording and it is not something you see that often. If you are looking for one to complete your VOX collection, look no further...
