for it's vintage tones and squishy sustain this compressor
circuit has set the standard for many others over the history of
the compressor circuit. Handmade and built right here in the
U.S. just like all of our pedals the compressor offers you the
high quality tone of the vintage Ross circuit with out the hefty
price of most other Ross clones. If you are wondering about
the amount of noise that the Wilson Effects Compressor will
add to your signal chain here is a little bit on that subject. Any
pedal that increases gain will increase the existing noise of
your original equipment, but the compressor itself does not
add a significant amount of noise. However a compressor
operates like so. When you stop playing the compressor
returns to full gain. This becomes more noticeable when
playing at higher sustain levels especially at full sustain.
