Bass Gear Ltd, UK
Bass Gear Ltd is headed by Phil Nixon, who has been playing bass since 1973, whilst skilfully avoiding music fame and fortune. He has enjoyed a successful business career, including running a group of media companies that he started from nothing. Welcome to our page here on Vintage&Rare.
Phil is very happy to respond to all customer enquiries, no matter how tentative.
Bass Gear is on a mission to bring to our fellow bass guitarists, that which has been generally hard to find. If it’s rare, interesting, weird, innovative and hitherto unavailable, then we want to stock it. This typically involves ultra low volume production ’boutique’ brands. We don’t stock everything, just what we think fits within our mission. Personal service, online. Our showroom is in Twyford, Berks, and visitors are welcome.
The non-commercial side of the site is called ‘Basslines‘ and hopefully provides an unbiased source of interesting bass things that are not found elsewhere. Contributions are welcomed!
