Yamaha L-25A Mastermade (1981) Jacaranda-Spruce, Case, Near Mint
This is a 1981 Yamaha Master-made L-25A, not new, but near Mint condition would be a good description. This is not just another Yamaha, but my private guitar, also a guitar such as played in the past by legends like Bert Jansch and Martin Taylor, it features a Solid Spruce top and Solid Jacaranda (brazilian) sides and 3 piece back, fully legal since its been in Europe since 1980. Mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard with pearl inlays, Jacaranda Bridge with bone Saddle, also the nut is made of bone, The L-25A was the Successor of the Famous Yamaha FG2000 from the 1970's, a similar master-made instrument. Both extremely rare and of impressive high level craftsmanship with scalloped bracing, rosewood headstock overlay, cream bound body, neck and headstock, beautiful purfling on top, around the soundhole, sides and back, comfortable modest C neck profile, 44.5mm (1 3/4") width at the nut, 650mm(25.5") Scale length, and 57mm ( 2 1/4") Fingerspacing at the saddle. Beautiful tinted finish on top. This guitar is truly a -under the bed kept secret, in near mint condition with excellent playability and a tone that will remember you of Bert Jansh.
