Yamaha / SG 1300 / 1983 / `Black / Guitar
Built in the days when Yamaha were giving Gibson a scare. This is a weighty piece of mahogany (8.3 lb), with all original appointments. The guitar has been used, and carries a few minor battle scars - one chip through the lacquer on the back of the neck, a few chips that look like "stand damage" and some that are just general wear and tear. If I'd wished I could claim "relic" as a sales point, but I'd just rather that you knew what you're getting!
This guitar has a really dark rosewood fingerboard (I actually thought it was ebony, but the grain suggests rosewood) with split wing inlays, original Spinex pickups, fully working push push coil taps on the tone controls (NB One is a replacement) to split the humbuckers. Hardware is gold, and shows expected signs of wear, some flaking and pitting. There's very little wear on the neck and fingerboard, even in the "cowboy chord" positions. The neck and electronics are all good.
The guitar comes with the Yamaha Hard Case as pictured, before despatch it will be given a full clean and service, and fitted with a set of brand new Strings.
For a nearly 30 year old guitar it's really in quite good nick, and my description is verging on the excessive for its detail, but experience suggests that overdoing the description leaves less disappointment on receipt.

POSH Guitars, UK
Philip's Old Second Hand Guitars (POSH Guitars) Has arisen not only out of my indefatigable enthusiasm for all things wooden with strings, but also from my love of music and creativity.
I firmly believe in a Creator God , who in his creativity gave us a gift. That gift being music, and in our expression of music we give voice to our passion for God.
I am not a company, but I buy guitars of a high quality, use them for a while and then sell them on. Sometimes this allows me to make a small profit, and I shift that profit on into financing the supply of quality instruments for Christian Musicians who are actively working in a recognised Church fellowship.
In this regard I'm happy to announce that Harvey Gerlitz has allowed me to distribute his Guitar Care Products in the UK, and hopefully through these establish a finance base to expand this mission.
In addition to resourcing Christian worship and creativity, 10% of any profits will be automatically passed on to financing Christian work in Africa, building orphanages to care for the victims of the AIDS epidemic there.
All items purchased will be despatched within 24 hours of received payment. Postage in the UK is by First Class postage, outside the UK it's by Air Mail.
