Pretty interesting electric guitar, designed by Henry Dmitrievich Kolikovym and a half decades without any changes form the Moscow Experimental Factory of musical instruments from around 1974 to 1981.
The body guitar, somewhat surprisingly reminiscent of a rudimentary form of the swastika, made from the usual domestic gitarostroeniya joiner's board based on softwood and covered with polyester varnish. ELGAVA-B causes mixed feelings. On the one hand, very high seating neck (heritage is placed on the early series of unmanaged sensors) makes the sound of the guitar rather box-like and does not allow to set a sane distance between the strings and pickups, which naturally reduces the exhaust, and mounted on a plastic pikgard bridge is not the best It affects sustain. However, compared to many other Soviet electric guitars, ELGAVA-in is convenient and aesthetic - no worse than the cheapest models of Japanese 60s, which she, of course, inherit.
