Eko / 820 4V / 1964 / Red / Guitar For Sale
Selling a rare 1964 vintage EKO Condor 820 4V Stratocaster electric guitar. Italian made, in this era this model was a cutting-edge, more expensive guitar. Based on my research, there are few pieces left out of it in the world, but only one piece can be found in Hungary. Below I have linked some articles about the model.
Original hardcase included. The guitar remained in excellent condition: with the exception of one or two flaws, it is flawless. These are the beauty flaws: the tread bushings of the tremolo tailpiece are not as bright and there are 2-3 peas of surface defects on the back of the head. That's it. There is no fracture, no crack, the neck is straight, the fretboard is uniform, technically and aesthetically excellent, electronics is flawless, perfect contact, no noise. Its voice is a clear, bright, powerful stratocasterous sound. The sound can be heard on the soundcloud link below. At age 54 I would like to be in such a state.
Some data:
Ebony fingerboard, maple neck and body.
Fine tremolo
Precise roller bridge, specially designed for each roller to match the strings corresponding to the strings so perfect for striking the strings, not moving sideways, but at the same time adjusting the spacing of the strings.
4 AlNiCo V Pickups
Pickup selector : five switches (1.4 1 + 4, 2 + 3, all, mute)
Volume and equalizer pots
Chromed fittings
Body: high gloss, mica granular red lacquer, pearloid back cover, gold trim, greenburst neck lacquer, black high gloss head lacquer with EKO logo and back "Made in Italy".
There is a "Deuper Würzburg" aluminum logo on it, and I've found out that an original musical instrument store logo, which was also found in a 1964 Hiwatt tube amplifier head in the US, could ever have been used together, but it was just a shred of life.
New strings are on it, intonation is accurate, can be played immediately, string height is comfortable but adjustable.
Thanks to its status, I also recommend collectors and practitioners guitarists, their ideals and their value is great.
