1966 Fender Stratocaster
This is a KILLER mid '60's Strat!
All original except for the following:
Refretted with a med-jumbo wire
Had mini-Schaller tuners at one point, removed them and good repro Kluson tuners re-installed.
Had a 2nd string tree, which has been removed.
Shielding paint in cavities.
Bone Nut.
Dunlop Straplocks
Recent Callahm trem arm [original broke a few years ago...have original]
Drivers license number slightly etched on neck plate
Back cover plate may not be original
Everything else is 100% original [even have the bridge cover], and in perfect working order.
Neck p'up-5.61K
Middle p'up-5.92K
Bridge p'up-5.88K
Neck width @ Nut: 1.601 in
Neck thickness @ 1st fret: .799 in
Neck thickness @ 12th fret: .892 in
Weight; 7 lbs 6 oz
Does NOT have a neck date stamp...uncommon, but I've seen that on others from that era
ES is stamped in body underneath p-guard/elect assy
All mods/work was done over 25 years ago.
Do not have original case...your choice of a late '70's molded Fender case, or a late '80's Fender tweed case[currently in].
Set up with 11's
I've owned this Strat for 43 years.
It has been played, loved, and never abused.
It has that '60's Strat Mojo big time!
