Fender / Stratocaster / 1974 / Olympic White / Guitar

For sale is a Fender Stratocaster year 74 or rather 75 from my collection.

The guitar is completely original, except for a 1978 built-in volume pot (Orignial CTS pot with 78 stamp) and an original CRL-5-Way Switch, also built in 1978. Frets are still original and in a very good condition. The guitar comes with the original Black-Tolex HSC of the time (slightly more voluminous than the older Tolex cases and with the rather reddish-brown plush). It must have been one of the last to be delivered with this case. At the beginning of 1975, Fender brought the first version of the plastic hard shell case. Although the serial number 563xxx indicates a year of construction late in 1974, the numbers of the pots, the stamps of the Grey-Bottom-PU's and the red neckstamp (last digits are readable with …52) rather indicate an early 75 production. The guitar has the usual traces of usage. The Olympic White is more likely to fade into cream, the bright spot behind the tremolo bears witness to a former sticker at this point. The action can be set very low, currently about 1.5 mm on the 12th fret, but still goes down a little. Neck profile is a medium-flat "C" profile. The guitar was played and maintained regularly, but saw (as long as it was in my possession) only once a stage. The rest is said by the pictures.

If you want a fully everyday vintage strat of the serial number-on-neckplate generation and in the searched for Olympic White colour at a reasonably affordable course, you're in the right place. Can be tested at any time with me.
