'81 TELECASTER BLACK & GOLD, "Collector's Edition" Limited Production Model
Rare Fullerton-built beauty, only made in 1981 & 1982 (debut year)
All the models in the Collector's series - released between 1981 and 1982 - bear the distinct 2-letter prefix "CE" (Collector's Edition) on the headstock. The "CE" is always followed by one of three digits, "1", "2" or "3", which signifies the year of issue as 1981, 1982 or 1983. These models, all designed for collectors, share rare and unusual combinations of hi-end features, finishes and cosmetic appointments.
