1957 Gibson Les Paul Custom Alnico pickup model. If you want TONE this is it! This guitar was renecked and refinished by Gibson in 1974 and carries the 20th anniversary logo at the 12th fret. The body is unmistakeably 1957 as noted by the control cavity route and all Mahogany construction with the long neck tenon. The 1974 Gibson neck has no volute and is a 1-piece mahogany with the original 1957 serial # stamped in the head stock. Most of the parts are original 57 including the pickups, pots, knobs, tailpiece, truss rod cover, tuners, pickguard, back plates and switch. The bridge and jackplate are 1974. The case is the original 1957 pebble grain Black and Gold case

OHSC (1957) This guitar is a KILLER Custom with fantastic tone. Chords sound HUGE and solo's sting! The finish on the guitar is 8/10 condition. The finish has typical play wear. Correct size small frets redone in 1974 show wear but still feel great. The fingerboard is a beautiful Ebony board. The neck is awesome and has a nice medium to fat round profile. Combine the neck with the SLAB body and light weight you have MAGIC in your hands!

The original pickup sounds superb. This guitar is extremely resonant and a lightweight. This guitar will be expertly packed in a larger acoustic guitar size box for extra protection.
