This Gretsch guitar went directly from Billy Gibbons and to its current owner, so no other owners in between. Made by John Bolin at Gretsch.
To order one like this from the Gretsch custom shop would be around $10000-11000 and to have the white color on the frteboard is very hard to have it stick in good shape etc. It has also Gold Binding all over, from the body and around the neck and headstock.
Billy has personally made the fretmarks in the fretboard, is the very indication of this guitar only. He had a Car painter doing the pinstripe on the body.
This was his main guitar in end of 2007 and the whole 2008 world tour, and there is over 100 photo's and many video's out there of Billy using it.
It is also used on ZZ Top Double Down dvd with Hey Joe:video: see it in video section on this listing as well.
So yes this is a one of a kind. It's in the same condition and shape as when the current owner got it from Billy, nothing is touched or changed. Current owner have even let the BEER sticker that Billy made for his performance stunt, being on the back as it was.
The only wear marks on this one is made by Billy himself and nobody else.
