1971 Gretsch Country Gentleman in great condition for its age.
The original finish shows no fading and is still bright in color, minmal pwear, no hidden damages or hidden repairs. The orig. frets still have plenty of life left and play buzz-free.
The two Filtertron pickups produce that range sounds Gretsch guitars are famous for (see vid).
I'll measure neck size and update here.
Comes including non original hardshell case.
As is sadly the case with a lot of these Gretsch guitars of this vintage, the poor materials used to make the binding can start to crumble. Fortunately this was caught in time and stabilsed with only minor loss.
The 'gold' plating on the metalwork has also flaked as is common.
The bottom volume pot needs attention but I have relied on the Master volume for these needs. Could be a simple thing or just the original pot needing replacement.
I'm looking to buy a Fender Tele Custom so need to part with something!
