| Axel is a lightweight okumé guitar with lines reminiscent of the Musicman Axis. The okumé is a sort of cross between mahogany and alder. In addition to being very light wood it has a really interesting tone. The already excellent aesthetics of the beautiful grain of the Okumé, worked with tru-oil and finished with clear acrylic, is enhanced by a nice plexy pickguard to which was applied a Macassar veneer. Vintage style stratocaster neck, 21 medium frets, vegetable ivory nut. Six screws bridge and gibson style wiring that connects a lipstick in the neck and a humbucker in the bridge via a 3 positions toggle switch. 250k pots and .047 caps to complete the wiring. Very comfortable to wield, light weight (weighs as much as an acoustic guitar) make an amazing handling. Gotoh Tuners and double string retainers. |
