Jesselli Herringbone Solid Body 

Another immaculate piece by famed NY Luthier Joseph Jesselli. This is the first Solid Body of 2020. Joe doesn’t build many solid body instruments, so it’s a particularly rare pleasure to offer our customers this gem.

The guitar features many appointments unique to Joe Jesselli's guitars; such as stepped binding, leather pickup covers, silicon bronze frets and an angled ivory nut with zero fret (aka fret-nut). 

Everything on this guitar has been hand fabricated by Joseph Jesselli in his Long Island NY workshop. The only exception being the tuners, which have been custom plated gold by Joe and the pickups which are origina Jesselli designs and are hand-wound to Joe’s specs by Pete Biltoff of Vintage Vibe Guitars. Body: Genuine Mahogany with ”Herringbone style” carving on the sides, as well as a matching Mahogany back plate. (Wood is at least 50 years of age & is of the highest quality) 

Neck: 1/4” Sawn East Coast Rock Maple (highly flamed figure) Carvings at the headstock & heel

Trussrod Cover: Watussi & Water Buffalo Horn combination 

Tuners: Sperzel locking tuners w/ 12:1 ratio. Grained Ivoroid buttons. Gold plated by Joseph Jesselli.

Bridge SD Mahogany w/ hand intonated ivory saddles & Horn baseplate

Taippiece: Gold Plated Brass middle section w/ SD Mahogany sides

Knobs: SD Mahogany, Buffalo Horn Center w/  8th” thick MOP inlays 
Pickup rings: Brass w/ Rosegold plating & tortoiseshell celluloid lip details

Strap locks on each end. Bottom lock has Ivory base to hold strap lock at proper angle

Pickups & Electronics: Vintage Vibe Pickups hand-wound Single Coils. Pickups designed by Joseph Jesselli. 42 & 43 gauge wire mix, A5 magnets. 

6-way toggle switch w/ Ivory switch-tip.

Included: Handmade English Kip Leather Strap, Ameritage Gold-line fitted HSC W/ humidifier, de-humidifier & internal hygrometer, handmade tools for all hex screws on guitar. 

Body Finish: Oil finish w/ Dark Brown stain, filled w/ earth pigments, then lightly sprayed with Nitro lacquer (Gloss finish) 

Neck Finish: Gloss Nitro lacquer
