Beautiful guitar, a true work of art.
Built by Luthier "Ugo Pellini" (Desenzano del Garda) March 6, 1961.
Surely collectible even if it remains an instrument playable in its entirety.
The binding leads to classical instruments very similar to those seen on string instruments, even the global construction technique is reminiscent of an instrument of classical origin.
I did not find much on this luthier, think it was a violin making experimental created in Italy the first marriages with the electric ... this makes you think that even the name of the instrument "Model A" and the electronics completely external.
The undersigned is limited to a "refreshed" party-based "tru-oil", the remake of electronics (rewinding pickups) and the reconstruction of the bridge and its engagement with the rail pickups.
Characteristics:
back and sides: Maple
- Top: spruce from Val di Fiemme
- Neck: maple (bolt on neck, trapezoidal-section without truss rod)
- Keyboard: Ebony (square dots pearl).
- Bridge, nut and pickguard: bakelite
- Wiring (wiring under pickguard): 2 switches for pickups and a selector for tone; volume and output jack. (wiring presumably Hofner).
