1981 Fujigen, Japan. Without a doubt the most sought after year for Ibanez´ top model ,AS 200. John Scofield´s AS 200 is, of course, from the same year, which pulls the price up. Anyone who knows just a little about guitars made in Japan will agree that at this time the Japanese produced - including on fujigen - guitars that easily measures up to both Fender and Gibson's current custom shop models. Hand-built and with nitro lacquer, ebony fretboard with pearl / abalone inlays, solid curly maple top & back, this guitar is no exception! Add to that 33 years of mojo and you have any jazz guitarists or guitar collectors wet dream. 100% original with the sought after "Super 58" pickups, tri-switch system, splitting the neck pickup, etc. Very little fret wear and only 3-4 small dings (one on the side and the rest on the back of the head) Original hardcase included of course.
